Last week it was my boyfriend's birthday! My man finally turned 18 (yes, he's a bit younger then me). So besides a wonderfull happy-birthday party and cake, there have to be some presents! I know that a lot of girls find it hard to come up with a birtday present for a man, especially when your budget isn't that high. So, for you, I'm going to talk about the presents I've given my boyfriend so far!

FASHION || Lovely outfits

When I'm looking around online, which is often, I always run into outfits which make me think.. oh my.. if only that were mine.. At that moment I always forget that I've got a big wardrobe at home as well, so that new clothing really isn't that nececary. But still, I always long for that one amazing pair of shoes, that lovely necklace or that perfect dress. My problem is, that I do have quite some nice clothing, but I don't really know how to make a good combo. I guess that's something that I still have to learn! I've got a few pictures here of some clothing I really like. So.. this is what I like!

MOVIES || Walt Disney

Walt Disney is and always will be a hero to me. His movies are a part og my childhood and so they will be for my future little children as well. Bambi, little mermaid, cinderella, Pooh Bear, Snow white, Beauty & the Beast, and so on. A while back, I decided to re-watch these films. So I've downloaded the complete Disney collection! I own a lot of them already, but all on Video, which I can't play anymore.. so therefore, downloading.. And it was quite a package! Took me a few days to get it. But I started watching it and oh my.. such art. Even now, I love it, make fun of me if you want. Forget Hannah Montana and the Sweet life on the deck or whatever it's called.. this is true Disney art.

LIFESTYLE || First day of school

Yesterday was my first day of school at the Open Studio in Amsterdam! For those who don't know this.. I've graduated my A-level education this July and didn't really know what to do after that. For a long time whenever someone asked me what I wanted to do after highschool, I responded with 'Something creative! Or psychology'. Well, that 'something creative' won after all. For a few years I've been very interested in Film. Making film and watching films. When I was about 14 years old I started to edit films myself: making fanmade trailers, making compilations of other films, etc. You can find these videos on my YouTube Channel, which you can find here. If you're interested, feel more then welcome to take a look. I've always liked editing but I didn't really know just how much I liked it. The last few years I've been very stressed and doubtful about what I wanted to do. Was it going to be psychology at the University? Would it give me enough freedom to be creative? Or could I enter a creative education? Would I be good enough to get in there? Would I be creative enough to study there? Was any of that really what I wanted? On top of that I was stressed out about even passing my exams. Happily enough, I did.

INSPIRATION || Tattoo

For a while now I've considered getting a tattoo.Not a big one, just a little one. Something that'll remind me everyday of the love and beauty in this world. But, I am not getting a tattoo until I am abolutely sure of what I want. I don't want to make the mistake of putting something on my body I will regret later. So I'm going to wait for a few more years.

Untill that time, I still enjoy looking at inspiration for a tattoo. I looked some up and I'm going to show them to you and tell you what I like.

EVENT | Appelpop

This weekend I went to Appelpop! Appelpop is a free festival in Tiel, the Netherlands. It has become one of the largest and most popular festivals of the Netherlands. Recent editions of the two day festival were visited by over 150.000 people. And it's still growing! I've been to Appelpop for the last couple of years but yesterday it was more crowded then I've ever seen it. At the time of the final performance, I almost didn't fit in the partytent anymore, (which fits like 30.000 people). I really liked most of the performances this year. Not everything is my piece of cake but that doesn't matter because there are always more performances going on at two or three stages (there are three stages) so there's always something to listen to. Or if not, you can just enjoy the lovely city Tiel, which is a very small town but quite cozy to go out to eat or have a drink. One of the things I love most of this festival is that you see all types of people. Young, old, 'popular, alternative, friends, families.. the great thing about that is that there's no judgement. I don't remember ever seeing people get into a fight, or being hostile to each other here. It's a great atmosphere where everyone eats, drinks, listens and sings together. I love it.
